I have been thinking about doing this myself. Everyone I talk to goes "ya but then you don't have warranty". I find that statement somewhat funny for a few reasons A) You could have warranty and thats just an assumption. B) I'm wiling to buy a car that is 20k less and pay for work. A lot of stuff would have to go wrong and fail for it not to be worth saving 20k. Plus now ou dont have to worry aabout mods cancelling your warranty.
There are lots of factors involved in this but it I am really hoping for my dream family car as a Maserati Quattroporte. Bentley Calgary has a 2007 for sale at $171,000, you can easily find a slightly used 2006 Sport GT version in the states for about $80-90K, thats a little difference for some trouble of bringing a car up, just need to come up with 100k to pull it off

Lol, thanks Mitch would prefer to have a lot of cash to use first and have to save for the next Condo, but it is a good example that I could probably get the car, drive it for a year or two and then sell it without taking a loss.
