Re: Question about test pipes for the B5 S4...

Kinda funny.. I was in the middle of having my cats taken out last night when it started to pour.. The welder had to stop right as one car was taken out, and the 'testpipe' was tacked in... needless to say my car sounds a little off today.

mark you doing just piggies then? or straight test pipes? i think when i go stage3 i may swap for GIAC sauce instead of APR but i'll see how she goes.. so far 87000km on my k03s and still strong.. but then again i got 525km on my last tank of gas.

I have Milltek downpipes.. so I am just taking the cats out of those.. luckily APR has the test pipe file.. so I am good to go. One thing if you do go APR, you will get the other programs for free (and slots) since you are already an APR owner..
If I were to do it again.. I would go ASP or GIAC.. but GIAC because of the custom program I can get from my buddy.

          525, that's pretty good man. I have 242 000 km's on my K03's and lately I've been getting ~400 to the tank!
Maybe you guys can give me some direction here. I would like to just take out my cats ideally, but I don't want to have a CEL all the time either. Piggie pipes would work, but I'd rather fab up some test pipes that don't cause that CEL...

i think you need to talk to tunerworks or email AWE and ask about testpipe safe software.. then you're set.. should be like 25-50 bucks to upgrade/reflash i would think

              Hey Mark,
Who are you getting to work your downpipes for you and do all the welding?
