18s or 19s?

Pros/Cons?!

I'm so set on getting 19s but I do drive from Calgary to Edmonton alot cuz of school and the roads in edmonton are complete sh*t! i have also been wanting deep dish wheels so if i do opt for those 19s are pretty much a must cuz 18s would look so tiny!

Who here is rocking the 19s or who has 18s and regrets not getting 19s?! should i really be stressed?!

Final rim choices:

1. 18 or 19 VM V708 (RS4 Reps)
2. 19 VM VB2 (Hartge Reps)
3. 19 VM new wheel?! (Supposed to be M3 CSL rims w/ dish)

Its a personal choice. 19's look better. 18's ride better.

18's on a mk4? Its a decent ride. Better than 19's noticably.

Well I just bought a set of 19" Axis Pentas so hopefully I'll be able to tell you in a bit.. I had 17s on my Golf and Jetta before this and didn't mind the ride (even with coil-overs on my golf) so hopefully I won't regret it.

Like people have said, 18s ride better, 19s look better.

If you get 19's you have to only run them in the summer and drive really carefully. 18's I'd say you can drive normally.

Yes and no

Depending on the wheel and the manufacture.
Reverse step lips are known to vibrate when it rains....not a huge issue here.

PS if your looking for a set of VMR RS4 wheels, there is a guy in Vancouver that I have been speaking with who sells them.

$1175 shipped to calgary, with center caps and NO DUTIES

Which is cheaper than what VMR sells them to us Canadians for.
I have spoken with Wilson at VMR and shipping is a flat rate of $150 through UPS.

I've been talking to that same person about BMW stuff and his website hasnt been very organized, not to bad mouth him by any means, I'm all for more Canadian distributors of parts but I just wouldn't hold your breath on anything. Just my $0.02. Although he did say he would give me a good deal on a set of 18" CSL reps for my BMW since he is just starting out, lol.
