Not sure how the light roof would look... but pahntom black is nice. Satin black might affect re-sale value... as would something way out there.
Stormtrooper on AW has a Satin black, with parts glossy (middle of hood, parts of trunk) It looks hot.. but not sure I would do that ona nice car

I think checkered roof is also pretty acceptable for resale - Mini cooper style! More so than flat blacking anything or picking a weird two tone combo.
