Well, here it is. After months of speculation and guesswork, BMW unveiled their new M3 coupe today at the Geneva Motor Show, although technically this is dubbed a “concept.” We expect everything you see here today will make its way to production.
As expected, the car moves to a V-8 engine (called “S65B40″), bumping total performance north of 400 horsepower (no exact figures were released today). Expect something between 400 and 450. We’ll have full details on the engine on March 22.
The highlights:
- V-8 engine
- Manual transmission, expected to be a 6-speed (no SMG in this concept, thank you very much)
- power-bulged, aluminum hood
- unique front and rear fascias
- carbon fiber roof
- 19-inch wheels
