Needed: Wheel Ideas

So I've been looking around on the net for the past few days for ideas on new wheels for my A3. I'm currently throwing around ideas for Hartmann replicas, OZ's, Axis and a few others. I thought you guys might have some ideas on stuff I might not know about that will look good.

I am definitely wanting 19's. They will end up being 5x112 pattern 19x8 or 19x8.5 with an offset of 45 or higher (these requirements seem to dwindle the pool of choices a lot). The factory wheels on a A3 are something like +52ish offset. I am also thinking of putting on 225/35/19 tires instead of 235 for a little bit of stretch, and hopefully will help with rubbing. Not sure if that's a good idea though.

Any ideas?

PS: Does anyone know what the bolt pattern and offset are for MkV VW's is? Pretty sure the bolt pattern is 5x112, but not sure what the factory wheel offsets are.

Oh man I am going to spend days posting wheel ideas in this thread now.

If I had your red A3 I would do something crazy like... flat black oetty grill, black mirrors, black rub strips, black wheels with body matched red lips

I recommend getting some magazines and flipping through though, online suggestions are usually not so great compared to that.

Genuine two/three piece is really the way to go for real class.

MKV VW wheels are the same so anything that will work for that should work on your A3.

I myself would consider something from the Mercedes family as they are also 5x112

I will try to pick up a few Eurotuner's for ideas for sure.

I'm not sure exactly how much I want to spend yet... or how much some wheels even cost. I love HRE, iForged, etc... but they sure cost lots of money. Maybe I'll drop the cash, not sure yet.

Kris you actually hit on one of my design ideas, which is to go with a red/black theme. It kinda works well with the Open Sky roof... so I was maybe thinking black mirrors, blacked out grill, and wheels with black centres and polished lips. I'm having the dealership 35% all 7 windows for when I pick it up.

I do love B7 RS4 wheels!

Billip: For a red car, the black/red look is hot.

I saw a picture of someone who painted the aftermarket Oettenger grill flat black on an A3 and it looked pretty fantastic too.

Black rubstrips are ballsy but around these parts unique. Of course Joe Citizen wouldn't appreciate it but if you added other accents I think you would pull it off. If you did something crazy like a black/red wheel that would definitely get looks but that would be custom work... a black/polished-lip wheel might be simpler.

You'll laugh but I think custom widened steelies with polished lips and color/black centers are pimp.

Just need to get em made up to order haha
