A few details as per your request Terry

Competitor cars must roll in between 7:00pm and 11:00pm on Friday. All vehicles must have less than a 1/4 tank of gas with the gas cap taped off and the batteries must be disconnected. Please have hoods up w/ batteries disconnected by 11:00am on Saturday for Fire Marshal inspection. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and removal of the vehicle from the show.

Therefore we should meet around 7pm in the parking lot area so that we can then roll in as a group. We have the time then to setup and detail the cars if required. We can then get into the show at 9am Saturday morning with the public opening at 11am. Rollout will be at 11pm that evening after the awards ceremonies.

Does the Stampede ground have more than 1 parking lot? Will I be able to leave the truck and trailer there.

I think they have a specific truck/trailer lot to leave it there but not 100% sure

We usually meet in the main lot south of the roundup-centre, it is big and open so just look for the clump of euro cars, then we proceed to the back entrance for roll in together. You can leave the truck and trailer there temporarily or move it right away depending where you would like to unload.

Here is a handy map; the red dot is the rendezvous location and then the green dot will be the entrance to the show, hope this helps

Ok so it looks like the Edmonton crew will be departing at about 1:00 or so on Friday afternoon. So far it will be myself, People's Car (Matt), and SilverArrow (Arthur). If anyone else wants to join us for the drive down they are more than welcome. Also, I'd ask that you have your cars relatively clean for the drive down as I will be taking some rolling shots with the D-Rebel on the way.

As for lights, I have some halogen flood lights, and a lava lamp. :P

There is no "deadline", its more of when the organizers say its full. Best and fastest way is to phone the SCN guys or email them directly and ask.

Well I will switch everything over tomorrow (nuless it snows) and take some snaps. If it's dark and we can power the car somehow my blue led lighting would look pretty sharp. It's pretty hard to put gel or filters on the halo work lights. Can always point them to the ground though.
