Well there is something to be said for commoness, a stock Jetta is probably seen several times a day but how often do you see a Touareg, let alone on 20s??
Anyway this is how the show is going to go, some of the cars may not have the mods as others but the are all unique and help show the diversity of our club. As we will be almost the only euro rides there I dont think we will be dilluted in anyway but I am sorry some of you feel this is not good enough for the club.
Blair Former Cars: '12 Fiat 500, '10 VW GTI, '05 Smart Fortwo, '96 VW Jetta GLX, '02 VW GTI 337.........
A stock ride is a stock ride no matter what it cost.
So is the world of wheels only for modded cars? Or are we trying to get club exposure to promote all euro drivers to join? Now if the consensus is that all the cars should be totally modded then maybe we shouldn’t have it in the show. However, we do encourage all people who want to paticipate to come to meets regardless of how modded their car is.
But if it looks good, and thats what everyone agree's with thats fine with me. IMO the TReg would fit in better at eh new vehicle show, but it does show a good diversity.
Right now everyone is waiting on my Application and pictures and I am swamped, so you guys might end up being one vehicle short from the previous list. (I dont have any pictures, Winter wheels are on, the car is filthy, and I dont have any free time for at least four days..) but we'll see.
IMO, its all about representing what you drive and the club we are involved with . Regardless of how much modding is done, in the end it’s about the cars. How can you honestly say that adding a Touareg would dilute the club?
Just because for the last few years, anyone with a stock MK4 and wheels was turned away for not being modded enough - unless there was a body kit, lowered, exhaust, 18+ etc.
I like Touaregs and think they're hot (and are wicked for club), but if I'm at WoW and see a bunch of stock Focuses, Neons, Civics and Explorers with rims and muffler tips, I'm going to go WTF!
(I'm only talking about the show, not the club in general - Touareg guy would be a great addition!)
For all intents, im sure it is going to be the only touareg there, and with all the other cars being so heavily modded i doubt anyone will even think twice about weather it is tuned up or not. hopefully it will draw other treg drivers to the club.

I wouldn't say you were "turned away" and with this year specifically (I can't speak as well to previous years as this is my first year on the "team")we actually asked for volunteers but no one came forward. We are really trying to up our presence which is why we accepted another vehicle with open arms, even if some of you feel it's "stockish". Personally, I don't think it is going to take anything away as there will be several modded cars. In fact, I think we should park both mark3's next to it to show how incredibly low they are!
