ha ha Ryan's stock! (This coming from a guy that entered the last show with a stock bumper--Blasphemy! It should be here late this week, or early next..)
I can see Ryan's and Simon's point but I don't think it is a matter of winning for Daelen it is a matter of participating with the club. Look at the list that they post one prize for a VW Golf and one prize for the "VW other", so that means Ryan it competing against any aircooled or old school dub there that is f*cked. Why don't they do VW 2 door & VW 4 door. So it comes down to what or who the club wants repping them in the show. Are they limiting how many cars can enter the show e.g. <5?

[QUOTE=Simon]IMO stock bodied VW's dont fit in at this show QUOTE]
While I do agree, i think stock body can look the hotest. Couple of guys on Vortex (that craig40v guy comes to mind) that just slam the **** out of their car and throw some crazy expensive wheels on there, looks awesome.
But for SCN and DTP and most car shows, wings west, vinyl and more than one color of underglow is going to get you the trophy

Well just because we are not the ideal car for some of these shows does not mean we cannot go rep the NVD and VW style and have a great time. Just like I appreciate a quality Civic or Skyline I am sure many others appreciate a clean smooth euro dub, so lets get a bunch of nice cars together and go have fun!! We will keep your car in mind Daelen but it may not quite be ready for this show just yet, so that just means you need to work harder!!

Now you guys got me all woried about my car being "modded" enough to participate! I do have my new suspension on the way, and Mr. Upsolute himself says it would be here before the show, but do I have enough for this show? Let me know guys or I might be pulling the chute!
You are fine Kyle, the beauty of GLIs and 20ths is that they are fairly stock to us but to the untrained eye they have a crap load of mods so I would like you to be in if you can make it work!!
What we are saying is that in order to really win a show such as this most of our cars are under modded but we still show very well so dont worry.
We always encourage clubs to come out in full force, and as long as you have some slight mods (rims, lowered, and slight engine/audio) that would be ok. The more cars a club has the better representation the club will have.
Blair,
Will you be needing a 10x20 again to promote www.newveedub.com? Please let me know. You can always email me.

As an added incentive, on top of the goodie bag all registered cars will receive a 1 year subscription to PASMAG.
Thats a sweet deal they happen to have the odd Veedub in that mag. I am about 80% sure I am in for this one just have to make sure I have all the moving stuff wrapped up by then.

It may not be a show winner but it is a good start, he has big wheels, drop, strut bar, CAI down pipe, headlight mods. The body is clean. Is it about representing the club or winning the event? I would rather look at Daelen's car than those beat up sh*ty Skylines. My $0.02.
