Just wondering if anyone was heading down to Street Wheelers in Lethbridge in July. I just wanted to get a bunch of VW guys to head down together, make a show of it. Let me know what you think

Re: Street Wheelers - Leth
OK well here is the website for more info:
http://www.streetwheelers.com/
It is on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of July, and it's supposed to be a pretty big showing. I was thinking we could leave on the evening of the 9th, find a good place to park and stay the night, and then all park together on the Saturday along the strip. There are lots of events you can sign up for, as you can see on the website.
I have made similar posts on ClubVeeDub and Corrado Club of Canada, but had little to no interest, but it seems like there might be a lot more interest here, and judging by the photos I have seen of WOW, we might actually be able to have a good sized group.
The weekend should be pretty fun, and I am for sure going to head down, but I would love to head down with a groups of VW's. Hopefully this sparks some interest. (and Shaunmic I might just have to hold you to that offer)
Anyways, I don't think I have ever formally introduced myself on the forum. I am 17, go to U of A, first year engineering (striving to be a Petroeum engineer), but I actually live in Okotoks. My first car was a 1994 golf, which was then sold for my 1990 Corrado. I also have a rabbit sitting in a friends backyard gathering weeds. Everyone knows me as a VW freak, and I am proud of it. Here are the only pics of my car:

I am also in the process of selling some stuff to finish off the stage 4 and buy a camshaft and RSR outlet. Plus those rims are now mine

haha My buddy lives in lethbridge and he has to lock up his friggin sprinkler heads or else they're gone, right off his front lawn hahah. Leaving extension cords outside in the winter is also a no-no...Ill pass on bringing my whip down thereREAL men use harsh language as self-defense

Re: Street Wheelers - Leth
Always a good show... i go every year. It is known for the biggest cruise night in Alberta on the friday night of the show. bumper to bumper cruising, people are lining the streets as early as 3:00 setting up chairs to watch the cruising. 100 foot drags on Saturday are pretty cool. Show is on Sunday. Definetly worth going. It would be nice to see some cool VW's down there. I won "best import" in 1992 (yeah i'm old) which was a surprise!
