I can't, but my wheels can be borrowed if someone wants to use them to enter. Exclusively on-at-show off-after-show. Will make any lowered car look pretty decent.

I have to submit my MSc thesis rough on Wednesday and final copy on Feb 1st, so I will be defending my thesis between the 14th and 28th of February some time... I am just too busy to put any time or mental energy towards a show.

Well, I'm with Blair in that it would be VERY dissapointing not to get this together. Especially considering how NVD rocked the show last year. Step up to the plate and support your crew, people!!!

I'm considering flying back from SoCal for this... So make it happen!!!

                Re: World of Wheels 2005

Well I am not sure I want to go since I have no body kit and I look stockish but I wouldn't mind showing off some of the other mods I have, so if you want me I am in. I will make it happen even though I still have hours of work left. It looks like rims wouldn't be a problem if it comes down to it thanks to Kris. I know I can get my stereo done in time but maybe not all my extra goodies I have planed but it will be done. Ryan if you want a hand building your stereo we can get her done it time, just drop the boser for now get the bumper fixed and maybe if time get the euro trunk done. Lets now wait till last minute like last year to have all the cars painted in the last week.
*doh* I will need to go get a new windshield to but that won't be a problem.

                    Re: World of Wheels 2005

I would say there is no way you would have the boser done in time but I am not overly concerned about that I just want you to be in as is even but whatever you want to do. However I need six cars ready to go and apps in my hand by next friday so if we have myself, Simon, Ryan and Brent we still need two other cars!!

boser is easy..its just a weld on piece and a respray on the hood.. the trunk same deal some welding and painting.. front end needs to be rematched tho.. gonna phone shop today for estimate on what it'll cost and if its viable for me or not

Well I obviously cannot be in the show but if there is anything that is required, I will surely help. I'll have my car up and running this weekend (finally) so I can gopher it up too.

                            Have a few small questions.....
                            1. Will a cracked windshield have a large negative value for the show? (Mine is cracked, and would not be fixed by then)
                            2. Havent had a chance to fix small curbage--Same question

And the only other thing that is holding me back is my front lip....old one is not going back on, but I have a c/f one coming..just not sure how it looks, or when its coming...otherwise front end would be stock
but a new muffler should be in next week! (good bye DTM Brullen!! )

if the crack is noticeable, i would fix it, especially if you are planning on getting judged. the wheel who cares about, you can put it on the corner which will be hidden in the group...

Blair, you weren't referring to me and my near stock GTI were ya? I'm flattered, but will be in Maui surfing from the 9th to the 22nd. My roomie will be in town, and could probably get my car there, but I would have nothing else to offer. Please take lots of pics, I wish I could be at the show this year :(. BBS-RC are up for donation as always if anyone else still needs a set of rims for the show.
