  • End of Season Events

Well as the summer is begining to wind down I would like to setup a few events to help celebrate the end of our first big NVD summer. Firstly for shows we have the AirRiders end of summer show on Aug 29 that a few of us will be making the trip up for.

As for other events I would like to try and coordinate another dyno day, an end of season NVD banff cruise, and a bowling night going away party for Wee-One. So if you guys/gals have any suggestions or times you would like to see this stuff happen please post up!

I agree Blair.. I am hopefully down for Airriders I should be able to make it up.

Dyno Day - I'm down for sure. gotta see what i'm pushing now.. i guess C1 again?

The Banff cruise is a MUST.. even if we go mid Sept.. the nice fall colors, etc should make for some killer pictures.

and I wouldn't mind doing some bowling big or little ball is fun

          Re: End of Season Events

I think most of these events will probably occur in September as August is getting tight for time to plan. I am not sure on where the dyno day would occur but C1 will give numbers that can be compared to last time and then perhaps switch next year but it is up to you guys.

          Definitely 10 pin bowling!!

Gotta find somewhere that does the "glow bowling" with strobe lights, lasers, loud music, the whole works.

Calgary bowling locations have never impressed me... Winnipeg on the other hand has some nice bowling.

                dyno day would be great
but I was disappointed last time at C1
They couldn't give me Torque reading, or was that Toque

Didnt c1 have some sort of diffuculty with all of the tdi's the last dyno day? Maybe they could do them now.

I thought C1 had the diesel stuff sorted, but I will work that out before we finalize the details.

I think Calgary has some glow bowling but only 5 pin which is just not as fun in my mind!

If y'all want to cruise up to Edmonton there is a guy there who I have do all my work on my Neon who has a dynojet and some killer rates for dyno runs.

It's a dynojet 248c and it's the dyno I have done all my runs on my GTI on.

The gas cost will offset any savings we might get! Long way to go for a dyno. There are 4 or 5 at least in Calgary, I think we should probably stay with C1 assuming they can GUARANTEE proper dynos for people, just so that people who have modded over the summer can see their progress. Then in the spring, choose a new location. I do realize that some of the dynoers including myself weren't too happy with the "partial" graphs that we were given. Perhaps we can also arrange to get the results from all three rather than from the "best" run? Usually an average of the runs is more meaningful.

Some of the reasons for choosing another dyno include being able to participate in the process, dyno accuracy, impartiality and just for fun!
