  • Das Volks

Sunday August 8th our friends at CVD are holding their annual VW show. This is Calgary's biggest VW show with competition in various classes. Registration is between 10-12 and the show goes until 4pm at Stanley Park. This is a great show and a lot of fun so bring all the rides out and enjoy a day of having your car parked on the lawn

If only I had money I'll be in attendance but won't have car to put in. Unless I take the springs out, then it should be low enough for the show!

There is nothing wrong with putting in your car no matter what is done, if people only entered because they thought they would win then there would only be a couple of cars. Jason you can floss your new paint and front end, I say go for it!! Cars look lower on the grass too

Yea, we'll see, the key will be if I can afford wheels (i'm getting them priced out as we speak) but it's unlikely as the larger sizes were REALLY pricey. And I was told I'd have to roll the rear fenders (16x9 baby!!). It was funny, I ended up talking to this guy forever, he said his friend is running Budniks on his MK3, that's a bit too euro for me.

Ok, back on topic, yea, how much is registration? (I guess I could check it out on CVD)

I looked on CVD and could not find any info on the registration cost. I will try and find out and maybe NVDers can have a special rate as at Fahrfromhome.

Jason what kind of wheels are you looking at???

Cool, if the fee was resonable I'd consider entering, as long as some of the guys don't mind me parking beside them.

I REALLY want those KT5's, especially once I found out they come in 7.5 and 9" wide in the 16" size. Amanda loves em too so she'd be easy to convince! The 18's were 580 a piece though so i'm not gonna get my hopes up. It takes a coupla days for them to get pricing as they have to email them in Germany for pricing and availability.
