Well I feel the need to interject with a few comments, firstly the 18" wheels and body kit was a standard that was loosely used for the V8less show to try and get a group of hot cars into the show and in the end we had to scrape together at the last minute. My own personal car will never have 18s or a body kit because that is not what I like in a MK3, and having said that if anyone feels my car is not worthy of being in a show I have no problem with that and will not put it in. I am not trying to abuse my position by saying since I am president my car must always be in the shows, heck I took Simon's car to FFH instead of my own.
We must not forget that with shows like SCN and V8less we are outsiders, not the typical type of cars so we need to make a wow impression to help build our status in the non-vw or non-euro crowds. Shows like these are not typical NVD style but we do them mostly for fun and some of us just want to hit up as many shows as possible. I have also never commented that anyone interested in this show does not have a worthy car, I only ment to comment that a car like Conrads would benefit from some education of the crowds to help understand all the hard work and effort that has gone into his ride.
Overall I think everyone who has expressed interest has their car going into the show, so if anyone feels denied or left out then step up to the plate, we are just trying to put together an example of what NVD is to show the whole import community.
So can everyone please get their apps ready for thursdays meet!!!
