          Re: Edmonton Shows

I don't care too much about being IN the show, more about just being there.

Although I am getting to the point where I am very happy with how the car looks, I know there are a lot of small imperfections, such as chips in the hood, door dings, etc that some of the newer cars don't have (or don't have to the same degree). Obviously for a show I would put some money into hiding these things, but I am pretty sure that under the close scrutiny of a car show, these things would be noticable.

At the same time, I would like to enter one show at some point just so I can say I have a show-worthy car!

Basically, if anyone is interested in going to Edmonton I will go too, even if just 2-3 of us go down for the day to check out the cars and hit up the mall. If we want to setup a display, and we'd like to see my car in it, thats great too! However at an Edmonton show, we should try to get a couple Edmonton members!

Well I am getting information on the SCN show on the 24th and would like to send a contingent and maybe have some ETown dubbers help out as well. So hopefully all your guys cars look hot on Sunday at FFH

              Re: Edmonton Shows

*Update* I am leaning against doing V8less in Edmonton and concentrating on the SCN show on the 24th. I have been in contact with orgaznizers and they would love to have NVD at the show. We need a minimum of 6 cars for a group display, with no maximum so I think we should try and put together a hot batch of 6-8 cars and rep hard. The cost is $35 to enter the show ($45 if non club/team display) and you get two passes as well.

SCN Edmonton is working on a dedicated website and also wants NVD as a feature site and would like a banner up on our site. This will allow members a coupon to get discounted entrance to the show and they will also pass on to me a few extra tickets for me to give away as well.

So this seems like a great oppurtunity for the club to get some great exposure, help establish some roots in Edmonton and have a great weekend for those who will be in the show or want to come up!!

I think we can get some cars together for this so post up any thoughts or opinions.

              Thanks

                    Re: Edmonton Shows

I'd be in for SCN. My car should be show worthy by then, if everything shows up.

If you guys havent been in SCN before, you should know that its a "import nights" type show. Which means the lights are going to be set really low with lots of neon and dance music being blasted around. So a few minor stone chips wont show up in the dark.
