For those who didn't show up - good choice. This fog/wind/rain storm came out of no where, and the temperature dropped... there were very few cars sticking around. Was probably ok if you were there to race, but not to watch.

wth? I went tonight and didn't any of youze. I saw two mkiv Jettas race tonight. One was the Jabba and the other a new GLi. I think they each ran low 15's.

That was some crazy front that went through. Now it's snowin/hail/ice pellets up in the Ridge.

Jabba is Geoff (khyron) new GLI was possibly random dude or dereks bud from 5th ave..

ps me thinks next time we go out we should all meet at like heritage and go from there so we arrive in a big group.. then we get to race each other too.. i liked racing mike last year much more fun/less scary then racing a 1000hp muscle car lol

is there a corner where everyone generally parks every time?

I blew a bulb hitting one of the bumps on the way there tonight.

                  Re: Secret Street Opening night

I ran 16s all night (16.028@90.37 best, 16.8 or 9 worst). .081 seconds from a perfect RT though.

The GLI was also 16s - he got a 16.000 - pretty sure that was his best.

The track was soooo slick. On one run they screwed up my clock so I just had to drive around. So I started real slow till about 3500 rpms then gunned it - wheelspin all the way to redline. That never happens to me on the street - even on wet asphalt.

Lots of us were over at the auto-x setup in the oval, not at the drag strip. Which is why you didn't see us.

Was it low 16's? My mistake. Looked to be pretty good runs though considering the slickness of the track.
