So AutoUnion is a go this year and it will be the weekend of August 9-10. Not many details yet, but this is a start.

Due to circumstances out of our control AutoUnion is a no go this year.

The show might be cancelled but we will still be having a cruise. We will have the details ironed out this week, but it's looking like August 9th we will cruise from Calgary Into the Rockies!

I'll have more details soon.

Here is the plan:

We will meet up Saturday August 9th at 10 in the morning for a drivers meeting/quick show, I am leaning to meeting up somewhere like McMahon Stadium. We will take Highway 1A though Canmore, switch over to Highway 1 then Bow Valley Parkway to Highway 93 to Radium. I would like to maybe plan a a dinner at the German Restaurant there and then go over to a pub or pubs, depending on the amount of people we get. Everyone will have to handle their own accommodations for the night to sleep off the festivities. Next day everyone heads back to their respective homes.

We will be trying to raise money for charity, not sure which one at this time. Previous years we've supported the Central Alberta chapter of Ronald McDonald Foundation. I am open to opening it up to other charities, ones for kids hopefully

The idea would be to have a three different tiers for donations:
$10 to do the cruise
$20 cruise and sticker
$30 cruise, sticker and shirt

Since this is a cruise for charity I have no issues at all with non europeans coming along but the cruise would be a just that, a cruise, not a race. I cannot stress this enough, the routes we will be taking are for sightseeing and enjoying the mountains, depending on the amount of cars we get to sign up this could be an epic trip.

This will be the logo for the stickers and the shirts. Maybe some minor tweaks but that's it.

wish I could do the cruise, since the show was cancelled we agreed to go help our friends in Edmonton to work their concession at the Edmonton Folk Festival in the Fat Franks booth like we have the past 3 years.
