I'm still open if you guys need me, and I'm totally fine if you don't. I'll be there either way probably.

Well, I don't want to give the impression that I'm bailing out on this show for euro vs. japanese reasons... Because that's the vibe I'm getting from this thread. Believe me, I'll be the first person to enter a show (in case you haven't noticed my car is just a LITLLE bit modified ) and I HAVE, and WILL, put my car in mixed import shows. I've already done several of them. In fact, I'm willing to bet that over the course of the summer, I'll probably enter my car into more shows (euro OR jap) than we, as a club, will enter. So let's not do the whole "you guys are lame" approach

Like I said before, my car is simply not finished. It is under construction. There are 3 projects (not including the wheels delay) that I want to finish first. On top of that, between now and May 15, I'll only be in Calgary for like 7 days..... leaving me no time to get anything done. I have a standard (for myself and my car) that I want to meet before I feel my car is ready to show. Others may not agree, but thats how I do it. So I'll gladly rep at the next show, but V8less May 15 is out. Did I mention the car is not done?

Besides, there are alot of strong cars in our club. This is a good chance for other cars to get some exposure and be in the spotlight for a while. Especially since we are coming out of WoW, it would be nice to have some different cars there.

Would it be a bad idea to do a joint venture with CVD if there aren't enough entries from NVD? Just a thought.

Not a bad thought Neil, but I think it would be preferred to have our own club display, it should not be too hard to put 5 cars from the club together, or maybe it is.....

I have also come up with another car that could be used but may not work 100% with the club. If needed we can use my Dad's TT 3.2 for the show, it is not a NewVeedDub, but really it is an R32 with a different body. The only mods are 18" IForged wheels which will be arriving any day now, but it still is a good looking car.

Blair, that's the best idea ever! Especially with the Iforged wheels, that's gonna look incredible. I think having a high-end car like your Dad's TT will seal NVD's position as THE premier VAG club in Calgary.

Hella makes smoked Jetta e-code headlights I think. But on your car, I would Joey them for the best look.

Why is the Joey mod better looking than the Hella smokes?

On a silver car, doing it silver inside, I just think it looks better. I gotta take my stupid depot lights apart anyhow to clean them inside I think... could be time for something like that.

Aaah, I see. Yes, I def agree. I thought we were talking about painting them black. Ryan, Kris is right. Your car would look much better if you had color-matched headlights. Black ones stand out too much on a silver car.
