Does the club get deals anywhere for tinting? If not, I'll probably go to Calgary Trimline. They did my 3M Clear Bra and did a great job, so might as well go again. However, as I work all week long, I'd have to drop the car off tonight before they close and then pick it up tomorrow before close. Hence, I wouldn't be able to meet you guys at Starbucks. Will that be a problem? Also, still need to figure out when we're changing these rims out!

We have no discounts on tinting so it is up to you where you want to go, maybe you can see if they would be interested in giving the club a dscount. However it would be nice if you could make it to the meet tonight, maybe someone can give you a ride or something.

If Trimline is up for it... does that mean they get free advertising on the website? Just trying to sell the benefits as best I can.

Supertint has always done great work, and prices were good too, pay cash *wink*.......at least that worked for me.....$120 to get my Fiero done 3 windows at 5%.....and the back windows were nasty in them!

So anyhow, called TrimLine for a 5-window quote and they told me $295. I was like... "O.k., I'm sure you guys do quality work... but $295?" So, after IM'ing Simon and TurboMedic for their thoughts, I made a few calls around Cowtown to see if anyone could do this on Wednesday for me (ie. Pre-V8less Show) for the right price. Ended up finding a guy at "ICON Auto Tinting" who would do the work for $169.95!! And... with a lifetime warranty. Crazyness. Anyhow, we'll have to wait and see what the workmanship is like tomorrow PM when I pick it up. Regardless... I highly doubt TrimLine does a 74% better job to justify their 74% higher price. What tint brand do they use... Gucci?! I'll ask him about Group rates for you guys as well when I pick up my car.

Oh yeah, and I won't be able to make the meet tonight unless someone from the NE is going and needs someone to ride shotgun?!

If I remember correctly ICON did my windows. They've lasted pretty good, and overall I was impressed.

I suppose I should have posted this earlier, but I just recently got my rear 5 done at 35%. They were done by Tinting Illusions, which is just one guy named Jarod Simmie. He does all of SouthCentre VW's work and I can tell you that it is amazing... incredible work. I can't really tell you the price i got (it was smokin'), but the work is awesome. His number is 710.8023 if anyone is interested.

Are you guys sure you're not getting better prices because of cheaper tint? I have seen some l4me tint in my day, mostly it turns either brown or purple after a while...

lol geoff.. yea i have a pretty much full tank right now so i actually have to hit boost for the next 2 days and drain it down hardcore.. then next week i get to be owned and pay a buck a litre for premium

So yes a few reminders to all in the show:

-no more than a 1/4 tank of fuel in the car at roll in time
-get cars as clean as weather will allow for friday
-meeting in the west side of McMahon Stadium (off University Drive) Friday 7:30pm to get ready for our roll in
