Friday drive to GCVW
Hey all, so not sure who is going to GCVW this year, but I figured let's try and get this organized. I know I'm posting this a little short notice but was waiting until after Autounion passed. So for those who don't know, the Great Canadian Volkswagen Show is starting this Friday, August 23rd. Here's a link to the website for the show CLICK HERE!
The weekend starts off with drag races at the Mission Raceway in Mission, BC. Gates open at 5pm, I don't think I've ever been there before 7 and I've never missed seeing anything either.
Keeping that in mind, we will meet at the Petro Canada across from COP Friday morning at 6am and leave at 630am. This will give us enough time for refueling the cars and our stomachs along the way and still get to Mission at a decent time.
After the drag races we will part ways, since I will not be staying at any hotels or attending any of the Saturday events I am just going to try and organize the drive to Mission.
Last year I attended the CTS turbo BBQ after the main show on Sunday and drove home alone. This year it doesn't look like there is a BBQ so we will try and organize a drive home too. The main show on Sunday goes to 4-430 typically. I will have my car parked in the show so I won't be able to leave before then. Once we figure out who is going we will attempt to plan a drive home.
