Seems like such a menial thing for people to get hung up on....Its not like Stanley Park is huge, worst case scenario your car could be 50m away from your buddies.

i only say that because my mkvi is nothing compared to the others in town, i dont care if its with its "kind" instead of being with my friends, i walk around leaving my car behind at shows anyway.

Hey guys.

Yes, Das Volks is being held on Saturday, July 20th. We have partnered with the Euro to have two car shows together in one park. It should be an awesome turn out.

Das Volks entrants have a SEPARATE entrance from the Euro. We will be entering on the EAST side of the park, through the main Stanley Park parking lot.

We do group the cars together according to category, for judging purposes. :-)

We have all the same Volkswagen Categories, plus an Audi/Porsche Category. While not everyone can always park together, you can still sit together - bring a lawn chair and gather. :-)

I hope this has sufficiently answered all of the questions. If I've forgot something, please let me know, and I'll answer it.

That's okay, we're all inclusive. ;-)

Seriously though, while there is judging, Das Volks is more about the community. So bring your car, no matter the condition, and hang out with friends. That's what we are all about. :-)

Where do we go if we have preregistered for the show?

So... everyone is going to enter through the "gate" - which is really just two fence posts.

From there, there will be TWO lines, and I'll try to clearly mark them as "REGISTRATION" and "PRE-REGISTERED". If you've paid online (or at the meeting tomorrow night at Concept-1) then you will head to the "pre-registered" line, and continue on to park. You won't need a ticket stub, but you will need to head to the registration tent to fill out forms and get your window card. If you have not pre-paid, then you will go through the "registration" line, pay the $15, and get a ticket stub, which will be turned in at the registration tent to claim your forms and window card.

It should all make sense at the show. And by having two lines, I hope to reduce traffic back log on the street.

Hey guys.

So, after discussing with the membership and the CVD Executive after Thursday's meeting, the decision has been made that the classing system will remain. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause members who would like to park together, but in an effort to keep everything clean & organized, as you enter the show you will be directed to park in your category.

Something I would suggest is that you can drive in together, so that everyone in the same category can park together. :-)
