Stuff is coming together, GLI is off for an alignment, for the first time in way too long with all new suspension bits (TT spindles and all the goodies)
Shirts are set for pickup, liquor is ready for pickup for Saturday party. Should be a good weekend.
Thanks everyone for a great day today. Couldn't think of a better way to spend a hot August Sunday on the grass next to some gorgeous cars. Great to put some more faces to names and cars and even a quick hi to some already known. First time I put my car in a show and won't be the last now. Also thanks as well to all the awesome people who make this possible, there will never be enough thanks for you guys.
Thanks everyone for the day as well. Thanks to all those who pulled over for me. Especially thanks to Kane for the jack and jack stands. Thanks to Jonathan for the AMA card. And to everyone who helped out. Thanks to Meyers for letting me store my car at his shop for a couple days. And especially thanks to all those who put in their time and effort to make it all possible.
hope it all works out with the car Dylan, keep us posted!

Had a fantastic time yesturday! Show was a blast and the cruise up was great! Nice putting some more names to faces as well! No problem Dylan, hope you get it all sorted out alright!
Thanks to all the people who worked so hard and volunteered there time to put it on for all of of us to enjoy. Some real nice cars were there!
I had a great conversation with Patti at Ronald McDonald House today, she extended her thanks to everyone who was able to help, donate and be a part of our fundraiser. Even with all of the issues we had and extra cost to eurodrivers and most importantly Chris directly. We were able to donate $500.00 to Ronald McDonald House! I hereby convey my gratitude to everyone who was a part of this endeavour. It wasn't without it's tough moments, but being able to talk to and hear the gratitude of the people we help makes this all worth it.
Patti also extended an invitation to anyone in the club that would like to go up and visit RMH in Red Deer, she is willing to show us around anytime. I suggest that we do a meet-up in the next couple of weeks up there and tour their house and then spend some time at some local pub/restaurant with the Red Deer crew! Below is a note from Patti after our conversation where she invites us to participate in their Freeze the House Charity Bonspiel.
A note from Ronald McDonald House:
Hi Rod,
Thank you for chatting with me today. We really appreciate your donation again this year. As per our conversation I have attached information about our signature fundraising event for the Red Deer House.
Please feel free to call me any time if you have any questions or able to help out with a sponsorship or a silent auction item.
I hope we will be able to set something up for you to tour the House soon.
Thanks again,
Patti Parker

On behalf of Ronald McDonald House® Central Alberta, we are pleased to invite you to join us for the 3rd annual Freeze the House Charity Bonspiel. The event takes place at the Pidherney Centre in Red Deer on January 3, 4 & 5, 2014. Special guests will be announced at a later date.
This three day event not only offers curlers many opportunities to throw a few rocks, the Friday Night Mixer and the Saturday night Dinner & Dance at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel will be a weekend to remember! You don’t have to be a curler to be part of the bonspiel. Divisions are structured to accommodate different levels of curling experience. Register for the popular Learn to Curl session; up to 32 participants can sign up on a first come, first serve basis.
We invite you to be part of the success of this event by committing your support to any of the sponsor packages indicated within. Not only will you have a memorable experience, you will receive benefit in so many ways, including knowing that your support of this unique event will give children who stay at Ronald McDonald House® Central Alberta what they need most as they battle their illness – the love and support of their families.
Ronald McDonald House® Central Alberta celebrated its first anniversary on February 27, 2013 and is dedicated to caring for families of children with serious illnesses. The House provides a ‘home’ away from home for families from central Alberta and beyond who need a place of comfort, compassion and support during a time of crisis.
Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting this event. You will find a commitment form attached forcompletion. We look forward to working with you to facilitate a sponsorship that best suits your company. For more information, to confirm your commitment or to register a team, please contact Darcy Steen.
