  • February Meeting

The February meeting will be set for February 5, 2004 at 8pm at Heritage Gate Boston Pizza. The usual action will be occuring with some checking out of the cars have a bite to eat and just chatting about cars and what the club has going on. We should be in the final stages of WoW planning by this point, assuming all goes well!

New members are always welcome to attend and memberships are available, so come out and support the club!!

                  Re: February Meeting

Reminder that the meeting is a week today, next thursday evening I hope to see a big turnout, not wearing Daisy Duke shorts

Since this is the one year anniversary of NVD meets I have a matter I would like to discuss. Orginally it was setup as $30 or $35 to join NVD depending on if you wanted a shirt or not. Now it was also said that these memberships where for one year and it would be a fee to renew.

Since I took over the leadership of the club I have changed the fee to be $35 and you can get a shirt for the extra money when they are made! Now I wanted to ask how you guys feel about the renewal charge. You have to keep in mind that if their is no charge then the club has no income except from new members and limits what we can and can not do. I am in favour of the renewal fee but it would be of a reduced rate say $20-25 dollars to continue to get discounts at all our sponsors and provide the club with some funds to help put on events such as WoW and maybe another Dyno Day BBQ.

Please express your opinions on this matter!

RENEW RATE!!?? doesnt' that mean were a cult lol ? umm for stuff like BBQs and Dyno days yea thats cool blair since its easier to have a pool of cash instead of everyone paying then or whatever.

                      Re: February Meeting

How about we start a pyramid? If we each get three people to join and they each get three people, then...

J/K. Renewal may be the only option to keep funds coming in, but its gotta be reasonable. And it wouldn't hurt if there was an incentive to keep renewing.

Yeah, I think a renewal fee is the only way the Club is going to get enough money to do anything. I am cool with the prices you suggested... I think that's very reasonable.

Yeah whatever the renewal is should be no problem for most people. :P
