why dont we organize a meeting this week or on the weekend to get things rolling, its only 3 weeks away and we're behind in the planning from what i've been told!
Well we will need the additional people to fill out applications asap and get them in and cancel Mike's. Simon the cars go in thursday and generally you have most of thursday and a few hours frdiay morning to get her in show condition.
If we wanted to do a WoW meeting I am free thursday and the weekend, but we should get the apps in first!

I just saw this post. Yikes! It looks like panic-time!
I would love to have my car in a show, but to be honest I do not think it is show-worthy. Right now there are four bits of damage to the car that I need fixed: The melted rear valence, the paint scraped off my front rub-strip (its been there a while), my windshield is totally cracked up and the exhast tips are hanging low. All of these things would be very noticable at a show, and I would frankly be embarassed by them.
I do plan on having work done on these issues before Springtime. But it is impossible for me to do anything before I get back from Germany, which will be on Feb 15th. In my mind this is not enough time for me to get the work I want done.
Lastly, I simply will not have the money until I am reimbursed for my trip to europe. It is costing me several thousand dollars and I will not be paid until the end of my contract.
So for WoW I am definitely not in. I hope that in the spring/summer at another show or at our own show I will be able to show off a really exceptional car, but it ain't going to happen this soon.
Yah thats true, rather have a strong showing without competing than compete with 6 cars and get laughed at.
That being said, one of andrew's friends has a 2000 gti glx with full oettinger kit and 18" RE's, i'll tell andrew to persuade him to join in, he's selling it soon and apparently wanted to show it at least once before he does.
So Blair, being the president of this club, make a decision. You want me to come over and get an application tonight and fill it out or are we goin with only 4 cars or what.... gimme a message on msn. simondewit@hotmail.com and tell me when you think.
simon i say your shiz is show worthy.. i think we can either put kris' jetta in and just swap wheels or put chris' 20th in and swap wheels too.. like put chris' 20th wheels on kris' car or put like mike's 18s on chris 20th i dunno i'm just tossing out ideas..
Not bad ideas Ryan, I am not sure if it will be good to have 2 20ths in the show or not. Kris does not want his car in beacuse of timing and the stuff he needs done so we will take him of the list. Simon is checking with the guy in the Oettinger GTI to see if he wants to show with us!
I also should mention that if we go in for the club display that half of the cars (3) need to enter the car judging and have to then pay the extra $50 fee.
