    Re: FFH cruise

Wow sorry to Myles, I hope you had an enjoyable drive in this beautiful weather. I updated the original post with the date and time we will be leaving. I'm thinking we'll give people about 45 mins to get there, that way we can just chat and maybe snap some pics while we wait for others to arrive. Is everyone still cool with meeting at the theatre?

trying to get 15+ cars out of country hills shopping area and not getting split up at the lights is going to be hard...... just suck it up and meet at the petro with DD. They don't have a "theme" and will gladly adopt your "theme" to make your "theme" the bestest "theme" in the world. You can throw rocks to Deerfoot from the petro, so it is EASY to get on the highway in a big group. Also, The Petro is closed until 12pm on Saturdays so the lot will be empty. If it's a real big deal to mix with DD, then park on the other side of the lot. The theater is just too far off Deerfoot and will be tuff to get out of the parking lot. Plus there is a police station across the street, so Andrew will most luckily get thrown in Jail for doing something stupid........he is afterall from BC.

Once again, nothing against DD or CVD, but this cruise is set up to show what Eurodrivers is mainly about, and have some nice cars cruising up together as a club. As I recall, DD is a gang. So they can show what they are about in their cruise, whether its themed or not. Everyone has their own choice as to which cruise they choose to attend.

As for gettin split up on the cruise, i'm pretty sure taking stoney trail out to the QE2 is a pretty simple road. The Tim hortons idea on mcknight is pretty good too, just depends how much parking space there will be on a sunday morning. Either way, we still have time to figure this all out.

Thats also a great place. People can get breakfast and coffee while everyone meets up.

Popp, if you wanna go with DD so bad you should. Nobody is making you drive up with us. Sometimes a change of scenery is good for you.

I think your missing the point Alex. The theater might be a bad idea, but if you read the original post, the time and location is not set in stone. We are open to opinions and will consider them as people throw them at us. For now, Blair opinion about the tim hortons is a good idea and we might go with it.

I'm not gonna get into an arguement here with anyone. Everyone needs to stop looking so far into this. This is just a cruise. Its not to show one club is better than another, its not to show that one type of car is better than another. Its just a separate cruise from the other 2 clubs.

If you want to cruise with another club, or don't like the meeting place or anything about the eurodrivers cruise, please feel free to join another cruise. There will be no feelings hurt and no grudges held. If you have any suggestions for a better meeting time or place, please post them up. If there is no suggestions, I will assume that everyone is satisfied with my decision for time and place.

Now let's get this thread back on track and discuss some idea's for the eurodrivers cruise. How does the tim hortons idea sound to everyone?

I chuckled every time I read "theme" in this thread....it makes no sense.

                            Which made popps post hilarious.

                              Re: FFH cruise

It makes perfect sense. Maybe theme is the wrong word choice, but what I mean is this:

                              CVD: majority is air cooled

DasDubbers: Majority is MK1's and MK2's

EuroDrivers: Majority is MK4's and newer.

Now before people start looking too far into this whole thing, I AM NOT TRYING TO BASH ANY CLUB OR GANG!!!!!!!Nor am I trying to weed out any type of car from the cruise. All are welcome, whether you have air cooled, or MK1 or 2.

Out of personal choice, I choose to drive with Eurodrivers because they're cars are more similar to mine. If I had an Air cooled vw, I would most likely choose to cruise up with CVD, and if I had an MK2, I would most likely choose to go with DD. Each club/gang is great in their own way. I'm NOT by any means telling people not to go with either of the other clubs, i'm just trying to organize the cruise for Eurodrivers so that everyone with an MK4 or BMW or Porsche can feel welcome coming along!

And before people start posting more sh!t about acceptance and all that crap, talk to DJ (Aliencurve) and find out why he no longer attends the VW meets......
