Well folks it's that time again, the Leavenworth drive is just around the corner. On Saturday, June 20th, 2009 the 9th annual Leavenworth drive is happening down in Bellevue, Washington. If you've never been on this drive before I strongly encourage you to attend. It's one of the most scenic, well attended drives around and always brings with it good times and lots of memories.
I have done the cruise for the last 5 years and it is hands down the BEST cruise and show you can do Northwestern North America. Every year the cruise and show gets bigger, last year seeing well over 600 cars.
Plan is to leave Calgary for Vancouver on Friday June 19th, stay in Vancouver, meet up with the Vancouver group heading down of usually 50+ cars, and cruise with them (details on that below).
Meet at 4am at the Petro Canada across from COP on the highway, fuel up and leave.
People are responsible for making their own accomodation. I suggest the Holiday Inn in Coquitlam off of Lougheed Highway. Surrey is a little sketchy for nice cars, and this means you car should be there when you get up in the morning.
We usually go out drinking on the Friday night.
The Vancouver group comes back up to Vancouver late saturday night, you crash at the hotel, and then depending on people's schedules all cruise back on the Sunday or Monday, or a bit of both depending on numbers.
Because of the length, having a car in top running condition is a must. It's 1000km's each way, with a trip through the rockies and the coquihala.

Meeting Point: Guilford Town Centre Parking Lot Surrey, B.C.(The big lot by Wal Mart)
Meeting Time: 6:15am
Driver's meeting: 6:30am
Leave for Bellevue: 6:35am
Things you'll need to bring:
- Full tank of gas
- FRS Radio
- Good sense of humor
- No fruits or Veggies
Very Important
As of June 1, 2009 you will need a passport or enhanced drivers license to cross the border, so if you do not have one yet you will need to get on that soon!!
It's a solid day of driving and enjoying the local scene, so come prepared. We start at 6:00am and don't normally get back till around 8:00pm so be prepared for a long day. I believe last year there was around 645 cars that came out to the drive, one of the bigger Euro get togethers around. All Euro cars are welcome to come so don't feel you have to drive a VW to come along, Bimmers, Merc, etc are all welcome.

Donation – There is a minimum donation of $10.00 USD per car. All proceeds will be donated to Children's Hospital.
Please come with a full tank of gas to the meeting location!
This event is not a speed or racing event, this is a casual cruise through some very scenic roads in Washington State. If you want to speed, please do it somewhere else.

This is just a quick post, as it gets closer I'll update the info and put a few more points in for everyone. I just figured with it being just over a month away I should get on planning this and starting a sign up.
