Just woke up. I am so worried about it snowing right now I'm looking out the window every 5 minutes and I can't get back to sleep.

well its now 3:33 and i just finished painting my engine covers and now I have the worst stomach pains. Hope i will feel better in 1.5hours to get ready to go

I have been up since 330, but dealing with a PITA cat, so I am ready to go and the weather should be better once we get up to Red Deer.

Thanks to everyone who pitched in with the Edmonton show, we had a pretty good drive up and set up. The show itself was not bad, not as many Civic's and such as normal, and some serious exotic representation. Congrats to Reggie on his Best Euro win, glad to see we came home with something.

And a special thanks to Terrance and his brother in law for helping me get home after a tire puncture in Red Deer!!!!

Sorry to hear that man. I made it back OK earlier in the day, no tickets and no sign of the law, just a quick smooth drive home.

No we used the tire repair kit in the car and got it sealed and drove home at no more than 100km/h. At least at that speed you still get thumbs up cause you are in an R8.

Waiting for Audi to open so I can sort out getting it fixed/replaced now.

I didn't have a camera with me but my co-pilot did so I will see if I can get some of his pics. The show was fairly small but had a pretty solid variety of cars and I was with the large exotic group which had an LP640, Gallardo Superleggera, Gallardo Spyder, 2 Ford GTs, Diablo, Viper ACR, Bentley, a couple 911s to name a few.

blair thats crazy. did you hit something to puncture it or what?

doesn't audi have a 24hr roadside assistance thing for R8 owners? i know its an option you can purcahse with some audi models, i would have assumed it was standard with the R8.

all models have roadside..

our allroad has full roadside for 2 years

my s4 did too when i bought it..

although they will take it to an audi dealer..

they may take it to progressive red deer VW but i doubt it for a R8... they probably would have towed it all the way to glenmore or royal oak :(

Just finished some food in Red Deer, was driving to get back on the highway and the TPMS gave me a warning so I pulled over, checked pressures and found the drivers rear was lower than the others. Did some checking around and found a nail in the groove and it was slow leaking. Was nearly 6pm last night so not many options in Red Deer so tried the tire repair kit in the car and got the tire to hold air as the nail is secure and then made the rest of the trip home.

Not sure if the roadside would have been much more help but obviously if it went totally flat then would have needed a tow.
