I don't really get this... do you go to events for the experience or for the pats on the back? If you don't feel like driving your car because it's not worth the effort for you, just hitch a ride with someone... but you definitely shouldn't miss this event!

Alot of things influenced my decisions!

To me the current state of the car is just okay?! I really wanted to get alot of stuff done to the car including, repaint the front end, new wheels, engine(chip, FMIC, TIP...etc) so the invensment that would have gone into the car would have been around 3K without the wheels which would of been another 2500. In the end there was just not enough time or money for that matter to get it all completed in a timely manner. I was really looking forward to this as most of the guys were, i couldnt wait to go down even tho ive been to vegas on multiple occasions and the whole reason behind me wanting to go was that i always wanted to attend a big US VW show.

Showing up with my car in its current state would of just been a regular thing for the vw guys down there and i dont really want that. I wanted to show that we up north can do it just as good.

In addition to all of this, I really need to go back home(Europe) for a visit. Some unfortunate things have happened in calgary and its really best if i just get away from it all for a month or 2 by going back home.

Im pretty sad that i wont be able to come down and join the rest of the Alberta All-Star VW crew on their journey to the Wustefest but there will always be a next time.

Chris(turbomeyers) has really put in alot of effort along with his parents to make this trip nothin short of spectacular. He really should be thanked by everyone that is going down with him this year.

im in Ryan Verkley, jgheron is coming with me but were taking my car sharing rooms, already had the ones we needed booked! Stoked
