Hey it was really nice to meet you guys. Was great to see the different cars and what people had done. I loved the Audis and VW's, very very nice. Was good to see a few other different cars too.
great turnout. i was really disappointed though in people that it seemed a lot of people were willing to let a few fix the bill.
even after repeated requests only 1 or 2 people came in and chipped in a bit more to settle it up.
With the amount of stuff blair does to even give us this forum to use, i thought it was pretty low people were so willing to let him have to fix the mess.

I think part of the bill issue was the girl at the front not adding it up right, when she gave me the total to what my gf and I had she told me $15.00, but my bill should have been $14.98 before tax. I gave her $25 because she looked stressed. But I think the question should be how many people did she not charge tax too, plus when we got there we were all told the 15% tip would be included in our bill. So if people were paying thinking this the bill would come up 20% short.
Current: Golf R and a corporate lease nobody cares about
It's the 18% automatic gratuity that is the cause of this all I think. I mean everyone thinks of their bill, and the 15% they'd tip, but especially last night with so many people. that 18% that gets tagged on would boost the overall bill by around $40 - $50. Which leaves some of us in a pinch at the end.
the 18% definetly was not the reason for most of the bill not being there. When the bill showed up on the table and everyone went outside there was close to $200 still missing. It was only after blair, Kor, the boys from Das Auto Haus, and a few others came in and threw down WELL above what they owed that we even got near the proper amount that would have been charged before the tip was even included

Well that's an obvious factor this go 'round as well. I was referring to any personal discrepancies as well. I know for the price those must have been some of the best few pints I've had in a long time. Same goes for Alex's steak sandwich.

I am pretty sure the girl didn't add it correctly. Some people were told they can pay TOWARDS the bill and paid debit TOWARDS the total.. When I looked at the receipt none of it was deducted off the total.. The girl was really stressed and most likely didn't remember all of that.

My guess is it wasn't one person stiffing everyone, although that is always a possibility. Moreso I'd say it's everyone just giving what was needed and nothing substantial for a tip. Ie. $6 a pint x2 pints = $12 maybe bringing it to $15 and calling that even.

Good call.. I guess I just assumed everybody knew about the 15% mandatory tip and knew to adjust accordingly.

Either all that or when se did add it all up in the end she got one HUGE tip I don't know why she didn't have someone else help her as she was totally screwed up. To come up $200 short would be at least 8 people. I don't think there is that high of a percentage in ANY group that would totally stiff the bill.
