    Re: Euroquake 09

    well that just seals it...
you do think you are more superior than the 2 other clubs in alberta...
    well thats just sad...
there are lots of other weekends that you can have euroquake... the airriders have had this weekend for 11 years now and you should have been smart enough to realize that...
but i guess your not.. heh...
and what difference does the weekend make for your buisness?? i mean really a weekend is a weekend... your just pulling **** out of your ass at this point...
i havent heard any good things about you or your buisness chris.. and really if this is how you talk to your customers i really dont want anything to do with you....
i reccomend pulling that stick out of your ass, and realize you arnt any better than anyone else....

Wow Chris that really doesn't make you look good at all or your business. You call EOS a small show when we have gotten people from all over to plan some of their vacations around the shows in the west. They travel to vancouver for GCVW and then take their time coming back and hit EOS the following weekend.

If you actually want to make good on the euro scene you would be more accommodating for a show and a club that has been around a lot longer then the people that felt they were not welcome in the CVD crowd. Why not try and promote the scene and work with other clubs to make the best for all the enthusiasts. If you want to sort out your issues with taking over a show weekend that has been used by the Air Riders for the past 11 years I suggest you get in contact with me.

I just don't know what to say to you any more.

And Chris you didn't move your show you added a day. EOS has always been the weekend after GCVW for as long as I can remember and there are other members that can vouch for it going back to probably the start of the club. Serious Chris I really suggest that you either contact myself or someone from the Air Riders and sort it out with them.

Alright Kids, lets pump the brakes a lil, my name is Bill and I have been involved with the Airriders in some way or another for years (I took a needed break from the exec this last season), Some may know me and some may not, But I think it will be in the best interest if the events are on separate dates. I really think there could be 30 or more vehicles attending each event if they are on separate dates ( I personally would bring my Beetle and I am sure someone would volunteer to drive my mk2 VRT down). Chris I have sent you a pm, could ya send me some contact info so we can get on the same page! Cheers

              Re: Euroquake 09

I'm sure Chris would appreciate the efforts it sounds like you are willing to put in (getting customer's cars involved, etc.), but my sense is that he has already booked venues, hotels, etc. and it may not be possible to "re-book" them. I think it's great that there is conflict resulting from people who WANT to go to both events. It's a good sign for Euroquake as it is only in it's 2nd year. Why not call it a "learning" year, and bring the knowledge into Euroquake '10....and find a date that is not in conflict with local events for that year?

                I think I am a little lost...

I was saying anyone's shows were more important or nothing...
I was just saying that last year the show was dominated by VW's.

ps. for BMW prizes you should do 2006+ as a different category because pre-2006 BMW's are a completely different body. *3 series.

                  Re: Euroquake 09

Well I just read through this thread as I was wondering why it got so long and I am amazed that people are pissed about the date. If you don't like it don't go, it is not like airriders owns that weekend and will send the gestapo after anyone that plans another event on that day. Grow up, big woopy two shows on the same weekend. We only get so many nice weekends a year that usually always have good weather, so what gives you the right to tell someone else they can not do what they want?
As to Burleys comment about eurodrivers, if you don't find the forums or events interesting why do you post here or even care if there is a show??
Most of us have been in the club for years and yes we mainly drive VW's but there any many other cars in the club. Do I even care if there are cars outside vw or even euros for that matter in the club, nope as that is never what the club has been about. Now you guys have said your peace about the date, live with it or just shut up about it.

Well said Bill. I know having a show on the same days is not ideal, and we are not specifically trying to rival other shows, but that was the day that worked last year and we are trying to be consistent. I always remember EOS being later but maybe I am wrong, as it has been a few years since I last attended.

However attacking a person and or business based upon something they say or do on these boards is not something I like to see around here.
