So my wheels should finally be here on Monday, which means I may finally be up for some meet ups, cruises, etc, after a two or so year reprieve. Huzzah. I was just perusing beyond.ca and it looks like they have their own general meets and cruises where everyone's welcome. I was just wondering if ED ever joins in. I miss the old car shows that used to be put on in Calgary when we were still CVD and NVD. Was nice to see the full spectrum.

Re: Any participation with the Beyond folks?
Sometimes yes!
It depends, I would say that some of our older members feel more welcome at Eurodrivers meets and might not fit in as well at Beyond meets?
People also have different tastes, and in the past we have had our divisions, where some people hate on the "old school" euro cars while other people hate on the "ricers". It would be nice if we could all get along
But we definitely have people here (in the past and maybe now) who roll with Beyond once and a while.
Is a different experience, and there is room for both types of club cultures in town!
If you want, I'd roll up to a Beyond meet with ya sometime.

Re: Any participation with the Beyond folks?
At one of our meets a couple years ago at the ice cream place (the one with NO parking lot) I had posted details of our meet on Beyond and turnout was huge. I recommended we cruise to Chinook and hit up the Beyond meet. At the Beyond meet everyone seemed pretty interested when we rolled in and the people I talked to enjoyed seeing all our cars out.
Beyond is chill, I used to go to the meets every Wednesday night, very cool crew and some very nice ppl there that have helped me out when I need something. Not sure how it is these days as I haven't been in ~1 year. One thing is for sure, the ricer population at meets is definately on the decline. There are some really REALLY nicely modified imports that show up.Last edited by nismodrifter; 06-20-2008, 07:27 AM.

I typically spend more time on Beyond... but mainly because they have more members and there is more to read. Been to some of the meets, and never had a feeling of being an outcast driving a Euro.....

Re: Any participation with the Beyond folks?
i guess my post sounded snotty but i've never been but i know there are lots of euros on beyond.. for the most part i don't dig ricers but really i get along with anyone in a modded car no matter what it is we all have the same passion
what would be freaking amazing to do would be a city wide club cruise.. i bet we could get 400+ cars and all go out to banff and shut shiz down! that would be pretty sick to see on the highway!
