Yes the one of each make would work very well and highlight our Euro status.

The Renault can get in if it's ready as we don't seem to have to many Merc's floating around. We can see who is seriously interested and then pick the best among them.

I could see if we could borrow my dad's SL. It would be cool if we could find a shop to lend us a set of rims for it, though as it'll be bog standard otherwise.

As nice as it would be to have a SL and a R8 for the show what does that really show of the club? Our dads have nice cars? I think we should have cars from the club that want to go in, I don't even think they really need to be modified to a high level but clean and in good condition. WOW is not a tuner show, it is a show about cars so that should make getting a group together a lot easier without robing somes dads garage.

That's a valid point, but on the flip side, an R8 or SL55 would act as one hell of a draw to our booth. I get what you're saying, but "sacrificing" a couple of spots to use for dad cars would pay off in the long run with the additional traffic and exposure we would surely receive.

Or perhaps we should just get our dads to join the club too...

I agree as well. Don't get me wrong, a Merc SL and and R8 would be awesome to have, but it would somewhat defeat the purpose of this club. If my Dad joined, we could also have a BMW 645 on rims in the show as well. I'm sure others parents have exceptional cars as well, but then it would just become a show where non of us are involved... LOL.

Saw a R8 yesterday.. Also a guy on our nissan forums spotted one in Calgary. I did scream nice car out the window at him.

hey and i resent that the 2007 season wasen't good , i did 15 shows and got hardware at 13 of them not a bad season at all
but we do need a big show of our own

i was with the CVD booth last year, and just a heads up... The reason we lost is because we werent active in our display. So if you want to win you will have to be active with it. this is the direction cvd is heading this year...

I actually spoke with the club organizer for WoW on the weekend and our application package should be coming out this week, so interested parties should start thinking about the show.

One issue we have is that one of our members is getting married that weekend and it would take a few of us away from being there as much as we should be so we would really need some other people to step up to make things happen.
