Das Volks 2007,
August 3-5, 2007, Alberta's Premier VW Weekend.
Friday August 3
-Drag Racing at Race City Speedway, 11550 68th Street S.E. MAP
-Gates open 5pm, Tech from 6 - 8pm, Racing 7-Sundown
-Cost: $25 to race, Spectators $5
- Awards for Fastest Aircooled and Watercooled cars, Best Reaction Time and Slowest Pass.
-Drive in Movie to follow racing in parking lot, "Herbie Fully Loaded"
Saturday August 4
-Pancake breakfast sponsored by Concept 1 VW Werks @ 18 Highfield Circle S.E., 10am - 12pm MAP
- Poker Run to follow Breakfast, registration from 11am-12pm
- Poker Run starts from concept 1 @ 12:30pm and runs until 4:30pm
-Cost $5, and your chance at $500 in cash and prizes
- Das Volks BBQ @ Calgary Sports Car Club @ 4215 80th Ave N.E., 5:30pm till the party's over! MAP
- Cost $15 per person
-Includes: Burgers (Veggie burgers also available) with all the fixins, salads, plenty of fluids to quench your thirst, and a whole bunch of yummy desert!
Sunday August 5
- Das Volks Show n' Shine @ Stanley Park, just off of MacLeod Trail and 42ave SW MAP
- Registration 9am-11am
- Show 9am-3pm
-Awards 2:30 (class awards presented as well as drag racing awards)
- All day long entertainment, raffles & prizes, activities for the kids, music and an amazing showing of Vw's new and old.
-The show is on the grass, so don't forget your drip pan!
Weekend passes available to purchase until Sunday July 29th for $40 @www.clubveedub.com. This includes racer or spectator cost on Friday night, drive in movie, Saturday pancake breakfast, poker run entrance fee, all you can eat BBQ dinner ticket, and entrance to the show n' shine on Sunday! Weekend passes available for pick up from 5-8pm at race city on Friday and from 10-12 on Saturday at Concept 1.
Official Host Hotel is The Inn on Macleod, 4206 MacLeod Trail South (1 block from the show). A limited number of discounted rooms are available until July 20th, 2007. Call today to reserve your room, 287-2700 and mention you are here for Das Volks.
