problem is like last year you aren't even cruising with all the cars. You have to continually stop for people and its just a mess. If we could get 10-20 cars for our own cruise it would be much of the same as our cruise back last year which you came on Tuna haha.

We never had a problem last year from Edmonton to Sylvan. The cruise has always been the funnest part in my experience with the show.

last year the whole cruise from cgy was aircooled based, they were all together in cruise formation.. .while everyone else was scattereed about.

Then mitch pulled off to the side of the highway haha...

Ill be joining in from the last ramp in Airdrie about 8:45 if any one else is not wanting to back track. They should be set up on FRS channel 7.

I agree! I like the cruise up together with everyone, but the way back is always more fun if we go a different way!

Part of cruising is just that; cruising with other 'dubs. The drive to Red Deer should take just over and hour, and to Sylvan from the cardlock about 20-25 mins. The purpose of cruising together is just that; cruising together. Not racing / weaving in and out of traffic. Just as you are supposed to follow the Highway Traffic Act on any other day, cruising to Sylvan with CVD is no different.

It's not that Calgary has crappy air cooled cars; most that come are capable of cruising at highway speeds. We also let the a/c cars take off long before the water-cooled cars knowing that they can get up to highway speed faster than a 36hp beetle can.

The plan is to have the water-cooled cars leave at 8:30, and everyone should be meeting up with Edmonton club / Red Deer club at the UFA cardlock around 9:30am. From there, everyone will cruise to the show location. Part of the delay is the stop sign in Sylvan. The other part of the delay is the registration lineup at the show entrance, which is why one of them is marked off for pre-reg cars only. If you've paid and recieved your window card, you can just pull into the lot and park your car.

When one car breaks on the side of the highway, not everyone has to stop, just one or two people that can lend a hand.
