    Wanted a Beater- Year round car

    Looking for a beater
    1986 - 1995 Year range Preferably

    MUST be:
    Automatic, no water leaks, is driveable, windshield wipers, heater and blockheater must work, no oil or tranny leaks!
    This is for my Friend Nadine because the 1982 Jetta we gave her is slowly on its way out. :(

    The 1982 Jetta will be sold to who ever wants it as parts once a replacement VW has been bought.

    Contact Cordialtea/ Judy If you know of a good car for my friend.

    This car needs to last her a few years, and not be a money pit when it comes parts and repairs.

    Maybe your selling your old car so you can upgrade to another car. Preferable Jetta, Golf, Rabbit (older) or Passat.

    Nothing more than $1, 500 please she is on a budget.

    Whoa Judy. You need a reliable car for uner $1,500 and automatic? No such thing in the VW world. VW and automatic's don't mix.

        I agree that you are going to be hard pressed to find what you want.

        I would look at something like a Neon, they are so cheap that they are almost free. Sure, they are ugly cheap beasts but if you just want a disposable winter car... shrug.

            Guys they are not hard to find just need to know the right person or buy from BC!

            We will keep looking, no biggy. She may bit the bullet and buy new. A Nissan Versa Car because that is in her payment range if she has to go that route.

            She knows she doesn't want a domestic car and loves the imports. She used to have many years ago a Datsun four door car, so when we gave her the Jetta she was so happy.

              Those new Versas are supposed to be great little cars.

                Get this she sold her old beater for $500.00 to a guy in Edmonton, he is now trying to sell her old car for $700.00 2 months later.
