  • WTB: Turbo for a TDI

    Howdy,

    I am looking for a stock turbo for a 1998 TDI. A friend of mine dun blew his up so I am trying to help him save some $.

    Anyone have one they wanna unload?

      Wrong turbo for a 98 bart. Check out the TDIclub you need a garret g88 or something like that I forget the exact part number but it is a wastegated turbo not a VNT.

                I need something that will just slide right in. The other turbo you are speaking of likely has a different manifold and downpipe which is no good.

                    Nope VNT is controller by the a nother valve, it has to be able to open variabley to to change fin pitch. Montgomery or the TDIclub will be your best bet to find one cheap.
