Not 100% sure. Dealership told me it's available for CAD$1100 brand new. Probably used on Passat W8. But they never seen one before.

WOW. Just browsed through your website and you have something substantial for your Jetta. Can I trade you a 05 BMW M5?

I guess they will not even sell you one to put onto your Jetta. Since it is for a different car and they can be responsible for the safety equipment like that.

You will argue with something like…’I saw that in some car shows…. It works…’. On a car that is standstill I can even glue a Vtec on top of a TDI and call a V-DI for the day. Do not forget it is a street car with insurance. You may become hectic if you need to work on a clam with ICBC. It is fairly easy to get a ‘No’ answer from them.

IMO, the airbag is still designed for Passat with a bigger interior compare to the Jetta. Engineers did their math on how big the airbag can deploy when it ignited. I think the safety is a bigger issue to concern. An R32 steering wheel is more reasonable to me.

Yes, I do know what you are talking about. I’ve seen the picture in a German Passat catalogue. If I can give you pointers to http://www.passat3b.de/ and http://vw-audifreaks.de/ . Possibility those people will help you to source it out.

Thanks for you advice on the ICBC issue and safety issue. I'd never thought of that on a Passat or Audi A4, A6, since the car is bigger, there might cause a safety issue when airbag deploy (touch wood). I might just sell this wheel and get the R32 one to avoid all these mess.
