That has been tried and nobody every ponies up the cash.

I am happy with the TWIN-USB quote from Martin. Don't sell out before I get one

The TWIN-USB is still a great design and if you don't plan on changing laptops there is no going wrong.

Unfortuatly there is not much we can do with prices as they are mostly set by Ross-tech. At one time there was a club discount of some sort but that was in exchange for an advertising banner which you can blame Bart for the demise of
In my opinion from and electronic design and overall usability the key-pro Khyron bought is the best bang for the buck by far. It is full KWP2000 protocol friendly for 2002+ ECU's and fast sample rates (30 per sec vs ~2) and it is also serial and USB with a built in software dongle so it is plug and go on any computer/laptop. Sure I maybe a little buyist to the product but I know money well sepnt when I see it.

Well perhaps if there was a few people interested then the club can help out its members and get the banner back up again.

Brent: What are the details on the higher speed sampling? Does that work on 2002 cars, or just 2003? Also, does it work on a 2002 car with a 2003 ECU? I totally didn't know that it would do 30 samples/sec rather than just 2/sec, that is totally worth it for me.

The faster sampling is 2000+ ecus. You just need the cable and the latest vag software.

Damn I am down for that then. The price on the TWIN-USB was really good, but the faster sample may really help for logging purposes.

The faster sampling rate is only offered on the key-pro. It is called a "turbo" mode I believe it is on only kwp2000 ecus which are mostly 2002+ cars. I will check into that though, there might be some mroe info on ross-techs site.
