  • WTB: HID lights

    Hello,

Can anyone recommend a place that sells HID kits and LED bulbs? Local or online.. it does not matter, just some thing that deals in CAD.

    Thank you!

When it comes to HIDs you have to buy quality. Only place i would recommend is theretrofitsource. Too bad the loonie blows. Can always buy used ballasts on hidplanet and the bulbs new somewhere else.

I usually buy from http://www.DDMtuning.com. Their decently cheap, good and have life time warranty on their bulbs and ballast. But please don't buy HID's if you don't have projector or retrofitted headlights!

HID kits are bad for the people around you and your headlight enclosure. Please use these instead:

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am looking for an H11, 4300k kit for my 4runner. I have found a few Canadian dealers but they only deal in USD - which is stupid!

                Re: WTB: HID lights

I think you have halogen reflector/projector housings, not HID projector housings.

Get these then, this will give you more light on the road, where you need it. Not scattered everywhere blinding other drivers and making you lights look bright but not putting any of that brightness on the road.

If you really want HIDs, buy a real HID retrofit kit from https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ and do it right!
I suggest getting the Mini H1 kit. It's the easiest.
TRS forums will also have a lot of articles on HID retrofitting and people who are willing to help you out.

For more knowledge go to HIDPLanet.com and read some articles on why a plug'n'play HID kit is bad for you and others.
