You don't an electronic boost controller, you need a good tune that controls the boost.

    I have a 2003 Wolfsburg 1.8t parts car that's mostly complete.

I should clarify, you shouldn't use any additional boost control. That can all be done within the tune. They can be run with the ECU control to limit boost spike.

Please use your stock N75 to allow the tune to control the boost. It is honestly the best way to control these engines

while i agree with what both Colin and Sean are saying im assuming that the APR tune has quit an aggressive N75 DC, not knowing the specs of your waste gate just throwing the N75 in there and removing the boost controller could lead to a window in the block... im willing to bet that the PO put in the MBC to avoid this, the turbo you currently have on the car is not correctly sized for this motor, if you are looking for a all around better drivability you're better off swapping to a k04 and being done with it then tinkering with the current setup.

I think you should get it in to CAW, they'll be able to have a look and give you a fair diagnosis and break down of what's been done and some solid honest suggestions of which direction to go with it.
