  • WTB: B6/B7 Licence Plate Lights

I've had nothing but trouble with the LED lights and I'm not sure what happened to my original lights, just wondering if anyone has gone LED and has their originals kicking around.

If your LED lights work I'd give them a try.

Did you wire in a resistor parallel to the LED? That's all it should need to draw the correct amount of power to simulate a filiment rather than LED's

Re: WTB: B6/B7 Licence Plate Lights

They are "error free" lights, so I shouldn't have to add the resistor. They seems to work fine for a year, then something inside them dies.

Perhaps the internal resistor went because the wattage was too low and they burnt out?

My lights are out, but the warning light only flashes right when I start up the car.

Re: WTB: B6/B7 Licence Plate Lights

measure the resistance across the led , then have some one measure the resistance of a stock bulb, add resistor to match the value of the stock bulb and your problem will go away then you are only out a few pennies for the resistor.
