  • WTB: Audi 1.8T AEB motor

Looking for a 1.8T AEB block motor, does not need stock turbo or anything, just need the motor. Able to purchase next Friday, may need it transported if I can't get ahold of a truck. 058 block preferred! Upgraded rods are a huge plus!

Please no damaged blocks (TB failures and such), need this to make a 2.0 Super Stroker. Low millage preferred. Let me know what you've got and how much!

    Cheers!

Sorry but what? A failed TB block is your best bet for a cheap find, and it doesn't matter if you're getting the cylinder walls machined...

I don't perticularily like all the other **** that follows a broken tb, if I want to do minimal work or am on a budget (I'm a university student, this will probably take all winter to complete due to budgeting). I may for now just change the rods, valves, retainers and springs unless I can find a deal on some pistons. I also need a ready to go backup engine incase anything happens. I travel 30km one way to work and 25 one way to uni every day, I can't afford to be without my car.

Agreed, it would be fine for a stroker.

But if he wants a SUPER stroker then it has to be perfect!

Also maybe instead of buying an expensive engine for your car get a second reliable car for daily commuting?

Oh, you want a head too. You said blocks so I assumed you didn't need a head.

Full motor, just don't need the intake mani, exhaust mani, turbo, and such. Not just a short block.

With my insurance? Heck no! Dyck thinks my Audi is stock...

How bout we stop going off topic unless we have a motor for ToXic to buy...

At least it keeps your thread at the top!

Have you checked pick and pull? There's usually at least one passat or a4 kicking around there

Don't you have to pull things yourself? I don't really have time to pull a motor... Also don't have a truck. Or a engine stand... Gotta get me one of those.

I have one on a engine stand ready to go. $350, or $100 without the head.

                          Got a motor!

Will take any high end con rods, valves or springs as well... Have retainers.
