Bah. After doing further research, Hartmann wheels doesn't seem to offer the quality you pay for. Numerous reports of easily bent rims on Audiworld and since I'll be doing long-haul driving in my baby, I want quality set.

I know of a few OEM lambo wheels sets for sale

Not a tire expert and no clue if they would fit and more than likely way to big; but they are 235/35/19ZR in front and 295/30/19ZR in rear

Sets range from approx 1200 - 2000 (with tires)

Pics? And I think you'll be hard-pressed to find/acquire 4 fronts. This will be the deciding factor.

How much for 4 fronts with tires that'll fit the Golf? Probably 235/35/19ZR or 225/35/19.

And the crazy thing is that he's NOT on bags!

Personally, I'd do a 215/35R19. Those wheels are the same specs as mine other than a 2mm lower offset. That'll put your wheel and tire slightly closer to your fender than mine, so I'd definitely be concerned about rubbing with a wider tire when you lower your car. I occasionally rub over bumps with my 215/35.
