  • WTB: 5x112 ET45 Rims

    As title states, let's see 'em! The ones I saw are either sold or diff. offset.

    18 or 19's... Will consider staggered if I like the set.

    Post or PM me your set and price.

    Cheers,

    Don

      - Real
      - To get a feel of what my preferences are, I like:
      * Rotiform BLQ's
      * OZ Ultraleggera/Superturismo
      - 8.5 all over or 9 back/8.5 front but I think a staggered setup would look silly in a Golf
      - Machined silver, white, or painted silver
      - Max $1500 with tires

        i dont think you can run staggered with Awd vehicles can you? at least i heared they have to be very close to the same size.

          I thought it was circumference, not width... HMMM....

            No issues with staggered as long as rolling circumference is the same.

              This. I'm not sure if the VW AWD systems are a finicky as the Volvo ones, but on my Volvo I had to make sure that the tread wear on all of the tires were all with 3/32 of an inch, otherwise it would kill the rear diff. Match the circumference and you'll be fine with a staggered setup.

              Real wheels with tires on a $1500 budget will be tricky, assuming you're buying new. Superturimos go for around $500 each depending on size and width. You could probably get a set of BLQs for around $1000 if they're on sale... The only problem with that is you'll only have $500 left for tires, and I'm not sure you'll be able to get anything good for that price.

                You can get good tires for 500 bucks. I just bought some falken 912's on 1010tires.com for 500 bucks shipped to my door.

                  Hmmm... I guess it depends on size too though, does it not? My summer tires seriously lack grip... I wish they were only $500.

                    A bit but you could get 19" tires for that price too

                      Might possibly have a set of 18x8.5 +45 vmr v701 for sale in matte black.

                        I have a set of 19x8" 5x112 OZ Ultraleggera wheels w/ an ET45 that i'll be eventually selling this spring, but not until I make a decision on what I want to replace them with. They are black, but the paint on them isn't the greatest, so they could def use a powder coat. Price will reflect that though. Super strong and light. Awesome wheels, I just want something else. And they can come w/ rubber, but you'll definitely need to replace the tires. I currently have 255's on them and they fit perfectly.

                        As for price, I have no idea. Just posting this here so I don't forget about it.

                          I have the same wheels As above if you want a test fit. I'm not interested in selling though.

                            I can always powder coat that but I'd rather not if it's in great condition.

                            That's my range for used gear. I'm more flexible if it's a new set.

                              Ahhh ok, thay definitely makes things easier. In that case, if you like the BLQ look but want something different than everyone else, BBS RX-R. They're a bit expensive, but I've never seen a set in person before.
