  • wtb: mkiv vr6 and or a 2.5slow rabbit

I am looking for our next supercharger candidate, we are moving up from the 92whp 2.slow, as my attempt to find someone who would be willing to supercharge their higher hp car failed, I am looking to buy a:

    vr6 mkiv (12v only).
would like a 100% stock vehicle with low mileage. Did these only come in golf's or are they in jetta's too? finders fee paid, I know how to search kijiji, clubvw, beyond, airriders. Any others, no idea, so please pass them on.

Mkv rabbit or jetta with the 2.5slow
but - I won't pay over $10k for anything. Sorry.

    All cars must have:
    lower mileage (under 120-160)
prefer something that has been owned a while, good runner.
stockish engine please - Intake is ok, but no headers, or cams or rebuilt engines/heads, please.
Suspension and body - would prefer stock, but that doesn't matter.
    Manual is a must.

Were you not able to find someone for the 2.0 mk4? Or did the supercharger not work for the 2.0?

Supercharging a 2.slow is like getting diet coke with your double big Mac meal

It works great. 30-33% more Hp and torque, dyno proven. We are branching out to larger Hp engines. I am having a heck of a time finding the 174hp stock jettas. Or golf in decent shape with under 200k. Lots of the 200hp ones.

Anyway we are going to do a vr6 shoot out with 1.8 a turbo and a 2.0.slow. Basically a mkiv shoot out on the dyno.

Found a vr6, supercharger head is in. Hopefully test it today and see what it does. Will hold off buying a 2.5 slow for a bit, unless anyone wants to see what it will do on theirs. Wish us luck, with 174hp, we should see boost at redline. Maybe 0.75-1.0 psi.
