looking for a B5 S4 wagon

alright guys i think this is what i want as a new daily but they are rare and i haven't found anything really, i prefer a Canadian car not sure that i want to deal with importing from the states but i might have to go that route looking for it to be stock or fairly stock some small mods are fine but im not looking for a stage 3 car thats going to give me headaches perfer lower KM but i know these cars are getting older.

something like this would be perfect all i would need to do is raise the suspension up but its from the states and sold :(

No such thing as Canadian B5 S4 Avant....

They were only ever brought in after the bumper harmonization rules. And FYI.. you will run into more problems with an S4 that hasnt had the turbos changed/upgraded.

agree look for a stage3 one on AZ/QW/AW and go from there

or simply buy a b6 lol

I've never really looked into this in depth, however from what I have read I would fully agree. I would suggest going with a B6 A4 avant with a 1.8T. They are much more available, and much more reliable (compared to a 2.7T), and parts are easily accessible too (not saying 2.7T parts are not, I just dont know). Only downfall with the B6 avants is that they are hard to come by in Manual transmission.

but i want a 2.7! had fun with my 1.8 and would like to upgrade, i wasn't aware they were only available in the states, what are import costs going to be on one? the avant isnt a must have i suppose i just love the way they look i know a sedan is much easier to come, if i happen to run into a low millage sedan i may just do that thanks for the reality check.

Import costs wont be too bad.

Cost of car x exchange rate x 1.05 GST x 1.061 Duty + Travel/Meals/Accomodations in the states + OOP Inspection once in Canada. If you do your homework, its actually a very easy procedure along with a fun roadtrip.
