Update- Turns out I cant get a car from the states... my bank wont issue a loan to a car that they cant check the VIN on... so i guess the .:R will be put on hold.

Try for a credit line through your bank. Then you can buy a car from the US. A loan they would use the car for collateral and that's why they won't give you the loan for the car.

I'm saying the odds of getting a straight loan for 20k from the bank at 20 are slim. Unless someone cosigned.

That's Horrible.
Switch Banks. Get a line of credit and they cant really ask you what its for.
