  • LF: Mk4 Jetta Hella Fog Lights, or grill inserts

Like the title states, somehow I lost both lower grill inserts on my Jetta this winter so I'm either looking at getting foglights ir just replacing the lost grill inserts. Send me a PM and let me know what you have.

apparently you arent supposed to put those grille lights in if you have an intercooler behind that vent like 1.8t's and TDIs. Dont know much about it, just somthing to google maybe.

What about 2.0's? I don't figure there would be too much to worry about with my car.

no issue. i think it just limits airflow to the intercooler when you fill the vent with lighting hardware.

I do think they look cool.

you just have to bend the horn a little. i have the Hella Xenon driving lights which are pretty much the same. i bought em thinking they were fogs but i was wrong. it blinds everyone so i aim them down.

Yep, a little bending or just flip the horn over to the other side of the bracket to give you the clearance. The 1.8T and TDI have an intercooler on the one side. From what I've seen/read you can dremmel out the solid sections to improve airflow. That and a TT fender liner and you'd have no issues at all. With the 2.0 you're golden, but have to run a euro switch and push a wire through the firewall if you want the fogs.
