I would stick with a short ram. I had the cai on my 2L and went to a short ram. If you ever went through a deep puddle there are chances of hydrolock if the intake sucks up a bunch of water. Not that there is usually huge puddles in calgary.

P.s i picked my cai off ebay for cheap and just bought a new filter. I made my own short ram.

Not a bad idea getting the ebay CAI then changing the filter. I may just get a K&N cone and strap that mutha right to the maf too.

Thanks for the ebay tip. I had not really considered it cause i figured the filters would be craptastic.

oh they are craptastic! Atleast the one i got. The ebay ones come with all you need i picked mine up for like 40$ when the dollar was better then the states. Nice difference to less throttle lag, and a nice tone to it as well.

So I have decided against the ebay cai then switching for a new filter. Bottom line is the FX rate is just really not in my favor; for just a bit more money I can go drive over to C1 and pick up a brand new "name band" filter on a stick. That being said I figured I would throw out one more try at a local used version before I get off the pot next week. Any sellers?

Or you could make your own. That's what I did. But would rather have the evoms vflow once I become rich.

He brought in a Nuespeed P-flo shortram
for me, I had bought a CAI and didn't want it either
so we traded straight across so I have no idea what he
would charge to do this
