Not much you can do to fix laptop MB's and they are usually not worth replacing. What do you plan on using it for? You can get those cheap small ASUS laptops now for around $400 with a 6 hour battery life.

I love this thing,even it costs 300 to 400 i'll fix it.
especially for just the laptop harddrive info.
The info can probably be pulled off the laptop, my suggestion would be to look at getting a brand new motherboard for it, you can usually find these on ebay as long as you know what the model and processor the laptop has.
i called 3 places today and nobody works on toshiba.
how hard is it to install a motherboard?
any takers i got the mother board coming and i hope mem- express made the right call on the board.(90 bucks later for a diag)excuse was:

Well it has been sitting and doing nothing for awhile, it is time to get rid of the jetta as the next little one will be here soon.
